My Light Bulb Burns Gray (2012-13)
Using my father's preexisting travel pictures from a military life, the work is reorganized into a grid rooted in personal memory and subsequently drenched in 50% gray. This digital process is a flattening out or neutralization of the inherently nostalgic dimension of these past images. The archival process also reveals an attempt to own previous times outside of one's own view.
