Surrogate Parables (2012-Present) > My Light Bulb Burns Gray (2012-13)

Using my father's preexisting travel pictures from a military life, the work is reorganized into a grid rooted in personal memory and subsequently drenched in 50% gray. This digital process is an attempt to flatten out or neutralize the inherently nostalgic dimension of these past images. The archival process also reveals an attempt to own previous times outside of one's own view.
